How the starter works

Power supply: When starting, the power supply (usually the vehicle's battery) provides current to the starter through the starting circuit.
Motor operation: The starter contains a motor inside, and when the current passes through the motor, it begins to rotate.
Gear transmission: When the motor rotates, the power of the motor is transmitted to the crankshaft of the engine through the gear transmission device (such as reduction gear).
Crankshaft rotation: Rotating power makes the crankshaft of the engine start to rotate, driving components such as pistons and valves to move.
Ignition and combustion: As the crankshaft rotates, gasoline or diesel fuel enters the engine combustion chamber for ignition and combustion.
Self-sustaining operation: Once the engine is successfully started and continuously operated, the starter will automatically disengage the engine and stop the power supply.
